Hong Kong quality Cantonese food in Indianapolis! Food prep is done with skill, and you can taste the heat of the wok (wok hei). I'm from South Bend and we had some business in Indy. Stumbled upon Benyue through yelp and so happy we did. Instead of shooting in the dark at a new place, we asked the proprietor, Elsa, for recommendations. She was really thoughtful and gave outstanding advice. It's not unreasonable for me to make the drive from the bend just to eat there. In any event, whenever I have to go to Indy, I'm going to eat at Beny

My husband and I found this place on Yelp. Its the only Chinese restaurant in Indiana with traditional and authentic food selections. We are from Hawaii where Chinese food is hard to beat! Expectations were high. The staff were friendly and respectful. The owner came out to check on us and see how service had been. Food was amazing! Whether your preference is Chinese-American style or authentic style everything was well cooked and full of flavor. The restaurant it's self is spacious, cozy and has comfy seating.

The best bowl of spicy miso ramen I have ever had. It was rich and creamy. The noodles had the perfect bite. The tonkatsu was moist and flavorful. I can describe it as luxurious. FYI, I try to eat ramen every week at different locations.

Visiting Indianapolis for work. Originally from Los Angeles and used to going to Chinatown regularly for traditional cart service dim sum. Very nice and clean restaurant. There is no cart service, so ordering off menu required. I came 30 min after opening on a Sunday- not very busy yet. Service a little slow, but food order correct. They were out of several bao offerings, but the remainder of menu had good variety (not as many options as Chinatown in LA). Great flavor and construction of food. Authentic! Given inflation, not bad pricing/value. Regular menu looks great, but too full and too many errands to run to take home extra dishes- will come back another time to try regular menu also. Definitely recommend.

Outstanding upscale Cantonese restaurant, very conveniently located. They handled our large party without a blip, and kept tasty dish after tasty dish coming. The back-of-house staff is mostly Cantonese speaking, where the front of house staff is the normal mixture of Mandarin, English and Cantonese. The spicy end of the menu is less typically Cantonese, but really showed off the talents of the cooks.

My son who attends college here terribly missed dim sum because he was taking summer classes. Since we're from NYC, where we have very good dim sum, we went looking for some. We found Benyue here on Yelp and wanted to give it a try. We came late Saturday morning and it was not as busy as I expected. It is located in a Indy suburb outside a major mall. The interior of the restaurant was modern and spacious with a bar. They have an extensive menu with authentic Chinese and American Chinese dishes. We ordered quite a bit of dim sum and noodles because we saved our appetite for this. It didn't disappoint. They were all good but the stand outs for us were the pan fried noodles, beef balls, Chinese broccoli and the minced beef rice roll. The fact that it was minced and not sliced like other Chinese dim sum places we've been to made us happy. The turnip cake can use oyster sauce on the side. We satisfied my son's dim sum craving and it was worth the drive for us. Service is friendly and efficient. Prices are higher than expected. We'll definitely be back!

Not actually dum sum traditional style with carts rdy to serve at lunch time but it does serve dim sum style servings and they are delicious! I can't say anything is really bad, everything we have eaten has been a good 8-9 out of 10. I'm just saying, we love it, if you love dim sum, get your butt over there and try them out, you'll be happy!

Benyue is used to be called Lucky Lou, we used to go to Lucky Lou's for their dimsums We recently tried Benyue for the first time since they changed their name and location, we had high expectations of it being the same thing we used to have and it didn't disappoint Their dimsums was as good as we remembered, although I think they have less dimsums options the usual things we get were still available, one of the ladies that probably owns the place stopped by our table to say hello and proudly said how they made their dimsums in house! We got the bbq pork buns, gyoza, dumplings, spare ribs and custard buns, they were all delicious and tasty, if you're looking for a new place to try definitely try this place Their new location have a lot more booths than their previous location and I feel like it's bigger than their own one, it's right on the Castleton mall location although it is not inside

I'm so glad this restaurant moved up to northern Indy (used to be Lucky Lou)! It's located in the Castleton Mall, which is great since there's a lot of parking and you can walk off all the food you eat afterwards at the mall. The restaurant is huge with lots of seating and it's clean. There's a ton of options on the menu, including an authentic Chinese menu. All of the food is fresh and tastes authentic. I highly recommend getting some Dim Sum such as the Har Gow (shrimp dumplings) and Sesame Balls filled with Red Bean. The hot and crispy fried chicken is one of the best things on the menu! There is usually only 3 or 4 people working, but the service is always great. They consistently go back to your table to fill your drinks and always ask if you need anything. It is a little expensive, but it's worth it since you get so much food and all of it tastes delicious. If you're looking for Dim Sum in Indy, this is the place to go!
